THE IFL IS CURRENTLY MAKING CHANGES TO THEIR RING, WHICH WILL NOW BE SIX SIDED. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE IFL? IS IT GOOD? WHAT CAN IT IMPROVE ON? ANYTHING.

I love watching it. Very exciting but a four sided ring to me is better.

I think the 6-sided ring will open up the fight surface to more styles (instead of favoring pure strikers with better ringmanship). The IFL’s business model is what is in trouble. If they don’t get some kind of handle on their financial situation, I think they will be gone by the end of 2009. It might not be a bad thing, since one of these fledgling orgs will rise out of this, consume other small orgs and be there as a viable co-promotion source for the UFC. There just isn’t anyone big and stable enough now to offer anything to the UFC. Hopefully these orgs will be able to put on a few more good fights before they bite the dust. If they do, I hope the UFC picks up Ryan Shultz, I am a big fan of his.

I’ve always enjoyed the IFL,they’ve always had good competitors and good fights.The six sided ring sounds interesting and shouldn’t hurt anything,except cost them more money.They are making and have made some changes and I hope they succeed.I was a bit bummed they didn’t stay on MyNetwork tv.
